This guy had an 'emotional support duck' on his flight and it was strangely adorable

Daniel the duck was a soothing presence on the plane.

WHILE FLYING TO Asheville in North Carolina earlier this week, author Mark Essig found himself seated near an unusual passenger.

It was a duck, wearing red booties, brought by another passenger to act as emotional support for them on the flight.

Essig decided to live tweet his journey with the animal, and documented his strolls down the aisles, greeting people and ‘quacking gently’.

Chatting to the duck’s owner, Essig learned that the duck’s name is Daniel, and he was found at a garage sale.

He’s an Indian Runner duck and can’t fly, but he does like to look at the clouds:

Essig’s tweets about the duck quickly started to go viral, and other people came forward with Daniel sightings:

The things this duck has seen. Daniel, you’re too good and pure for this world.
